Woodbridge Town FC are now seeking a new first-team management team for the 2025-26 season following the recent news regarding that the management team are stepping down at the end of the current campaign

Below are the minimum requirements for the position.

Woodbridge Town FC – First Team Manager's Responsibilities 

Ongoing 

  • Maintain standards of WTFC set down in the club’s code of conduct.
  • Ensure the safety of all players & coaching staff when on duty for WTFC.
  • Delegation of responsibilities to other coaching staff.
  • To work within the players budget as agreed with the board at the beginning of each season. Liaising with treasurer regarding player payments.
  • The signing of players as well as transfers, working with the club secretary.
  • To build a squad of players that are both reliable & trustworthy.
  • Build a squad with the potential to push for promotion
  • To work together with the Director of football, U23’s, U18s Managers, to help development of players and rehabilitation of those returning from injury.
  • Working with the club physio regarding player injuries and rehabilitation.
  • Building relationships with others responsible for areas within the club, Kit Manager, Groundsman etc.
  • To help build a culture of one-club, our-club within the club, with the youth, ladies and veterans’ sections.
  • Working with management board to co-ordinate plans for the season.
  • To attend and support social functions within the football club.

 

Matchday 

  • Ensure all players selected are aware of where and what time they are required to arrive.
  • Ensure all staff are wearing the required kit, both on and off the pitch.
  • Collection of all kit & equipment at the end of each game.
  • Discipline of all players & staff.
  • Completion of matchday paperwork – including reports and admin
  • Forward team news to media team
  • Attend any media interviews when required

Mendlesham Football Club are seeking a first-team manager for their current Saturday men’s team, who play in Division Five of the Suffolk and Ipswich League.

As the club looks to grow as part of short and long-term plans, they are keen to add a dedicated first-team manager.

The current management structure of three coaches are committed to the club, however they are looking to appoint a first-team manager to lead the current squad both at training on Tuesday evening and match days on Saturday afternoons.

The successful applicant would assume responsibility of all first-team related areas working closely with the existing squad and coaches, but with opportunities to add both new players and coaches as desired.

This position would suit experienced managers who are keen to grow and develop both a team and club, or someone who is looking to get into management.

The successful applicant in either case would ideally have a good knowledge of local football and passion to develop as a manager.

The assistant coach will join up with the head coach to help with the side on match days on Saturday mornings and training on Wednesday nights.

Coaching experience and qualifications are good, but all are welcome to apply and the club will assist with coaching courses if needed.

Brooks Hall Rovers FC are looking for new coaches to manage some youth football teams for the 2025-26 season.

They are an Ipswich based club with matches being played on Saturday mornings in the Suffolk Youth Football League.

No experience is required as training will be provided but all coaches will need to complete an enhanced DBS check.

They will also be put through the following paid courses:

FA Safeguarding Children

Would you like to be part of our refugee football sessions in partnership with the Ipswich Town Foundation?

Suffolk Refugee Support are looking for a volunteer coach or keen footballer for their weekly sessions on Wednesdays from 4.30-6pm.

This is a proactive role supporting their Health & Sports Coordinator and the ITFC Foundation coach.

You’ll lead an informal kickabout and keep players warmed up until they join the main pitch.

You may also be asked to assist in distributing kit and water, taking a register and other ad hoc tasks.

You’ll be working independently but with SRS staff in close proximity and will be able to identify and pass on issues of concern.

Chantry Grasshoppers Football Club are looking for volunteer coaches ideally two or three people to help run a once-a-week session for one hour.

This is currently on a Saturday from 9am-10am - Mini Hoppers section at Bourne Park for boys and girls aged from 3-6 years old.

Ideally one of the volunteers with a FA Coaching Qualification and the club would arrange an FA DBS check for anyone interested.

All balls and equipment would be provided by the club.

Working closely with the first team, the club focuses on enjoyment for all in a friendly, challenging environment.

The successful applicant would ideally have a good knowledge of local football and a keen interest in progressing their tactical ideas.

Haverhill Town Under-18s require a coach/assistant manager for the 2024-25 season.

The team have a manager who has been with the team from the start, however due to work commitments, he is just looking for some assistance for the following:

  • Matchdays – Saturday Mornings, especially when the manager has work commitments.

  • Training evenings – Although the manager should be able to cover the majority of these sessions, assistance during these sessions will be extremely beneficial to complement the manager's style of play.

The club can provide the applicant with all mandated courses (Safeguarding and IFAIF), DBS and the opportunity to complete their ‘introduction to Coaching Football’ qualification, that will be fully paid for by the club.

Since last September, the Girls’ section at Brantham Athletic FC has grown from 6 to 40+ girls and the current coaching team are looking to add to their numbers.

They are a female-led team of coaches with mixed experience but huge enthusiasm. They would love to hear from anyone who is interested in coaching this fantastic group of girls, especially women.

Wickham Market Under-14s (Under 15s next year) require a new manager or match-day manager.

The team play in Division Three of the Suffolk Youth Football League.

Last year the team played in Division Three after moving from Division Five and they comfortably finished in mid-table.

These are a great bunch of children with a real team spirit – over the years this group has grown into a highly respected team within the leagues.

They play football the right way and respect all involved within the game.

The current manager is now unable to manage match days on a Saturday.

The team is either looking for:

 A Manager who would like to take the team forward replacing the current coaching set-up

 or

A Coach who would work with the current manager and manage the match-days on a Saturday.

An FA Level 1 coaching badge or Introduction to Coaching Football qualification will be required, along with a DBS check and the FA Safeguarding and Emergency First Aid qualifications. These will be funded by the club.

Capel Plough FC are looking for a new coach for their current Under-14s (U15s 2024-25 season). 

They have several parents happy to assist but none able to step up to the main role. The current coach is in place until the end of season. He is also willing to continue to help with some training/matches if required. 

Winter training is at The Colchester Sports Park on a Monday evening, 6pm-7pm (if able to find alternative winter training venue/night change would be considered). Evening training during BST is at Capel St Mary Playing Field.

The team play in the Suffolk Youth Saturday Morning League, Division Five. They are a good bunch of hard working, keen to learn players with a good attitude. A small number of new players incoming with a new coach would be considered. 

A coaching qualification is desirable but not essential, and all required courses will be funded by the club. 

The new coach will be supported by the Junior Section Manager and Child Welfare Officer to settle into the new role. 

Club events are held throughout the year. 

There is a pathway available to play for the club’s adult teams.

Capel Plough FC are currently in a bidding process with the Football Foundation for a new floodlit 3G pitch.
