Born in Bury St Edmunds, Amy Grantham brings a wealth of experience in the marketing and communications industry.
Amy, who attended Culford School and Thurston Upper, now lives in Saffron Walden but still has family connections to Bury St Edmunds.
She said: “I’m very excited to have the opportunity to support the Suffolk FA in its ambition to grow as an organisation and to continue to broaden its appeal and to communicate the positive work that it undertakes.
“This is particularly fitting given my experience within the marketing and communications industry, where I have been responsible for developing national and international campaigns at top London agencies, and in senior leadership roles at businesses including talkSPORT, British Horseracing and Pernod Ricard, most recently representing businesses including England Rugby and Great British Racing via my own communications consultancy.
“Being Suffolk born and bred, I’m particularly interested in supporting the Suffolk FA with its current and future communications challenges, and helping to develop its marketing and commercial strategy to ensure that football remains in the hearts and minds of the county.”
Kit, who was born in Cheshire, has lived in Suffolk for the past 19 years and has worked in the provision of physical and mental health services for the past 12 years.
She said: “I’m very much looking forward to working with Board colleagues and bringing the skills, experience and knowledge that I have developed in my career to date in the NHS, most recently as Director of Corporate Affairs in a mental health and community trust.
“Particular areas of interest and experience include corporate governance and risk, organisational development and equality and diversity. I have experience in organisational and personal development and am an executive coach and mentor.
“I am keen to explore how Suffolk FA can support the links between physical and mental health within the local communities it serves.”
London-born Julie Mulcahy is a Senior C-suite Executive and Non-Executive Director who has held leadership roles in Media, Entertainment, Financial Services and Non-Profits.
Most recently Julie was a Partner, Chief Operating Officer and executive board director of H2O Asset Management LLP as well as Executive Fund Board Director on several of H2O’s Funds.
Julie is a graduate and Alumni from the Harvard Business School in General Management, Behavioural Economics and more recently Women on Boards. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personal Development.
She said: “I hope to share my wealth of life and corporate experience, particularly in Leadership, Governance, Operations and HR, as well as love for the game to the Suffolk FA team and to have the opportunity to work with such an experienced Board.”
Suffolk FA Chair Phil Lawler said: “Following an exhaustive and open recruitment process, we are delighted to welcome Amy, Kit and Julie to the Suffolk FA team.
“Complementing the existing Board, their individual and collective expertise, experience and energy will greatly contribute to our vision of A Thriving Local Game.”
