Bury host Leiston in Premier Cup tie

THE draw has been made for this season’s Endeavour Automotive Suffolk Premier Cup.

THE draw has been made for the opening two rounds of this season’s Endeavour Automotive Suffolk Premier Cup.

Step 4 side Bury Town will entertain Leiston of Step 3 in one of two first-round ties; the other sees an Ipswich Town XI take on Stowmarket Town.

Cornard United, who will be playing in the competition for the first time in 28 years following their promotion back to Step 5, have a bye in the first round. They will meet the winners of the Ipswich Town XI versus Stowmarket Town tie in round two.

Holders Needham Market will entertain Long Melford in the second round, while there will be an all Step 4 meeting between last season’s runners-up Felixstowe & Walton United and Mildenhall Town.

Byes: AFC Sudbury, Brantham Athletic, Cornard Utd, Felixstowe & Walton Utd, Hadleigh Utd, Ipswich Wanderers, Kirkley & Pakefield, Lakenheath, Long Melford, Lowestoft Town, Mildenhall Town, Needham Market, Walsham-le-Willows, Woodbridge Town.

Ties to be played by Wednesday, September 18th.
