Kirkley rewarded with a home draw
THE draw has been made for the third round of this season’s Portable Space Suffolk Senior Reserve Cup.
Kirkley & Pakefield U23s, who knocked out Beccles Town Reserves, the four-times runners-up in the last five seasons, have received a home tie.
They will face Haverhill Rovers U23s, who defeated Old Newton United Reserves 9-1 in Saturday’s second round.
Two teams who both required penalties before progressing, will meet head on in round three.
Needham Market U23s missed a last-minute penalty on Saturday versus Framlingham Town U23s, who then won the subsequent shoot-out 6-5 following a 202 draw.
They will now travel to East Bergholt United Reserves, who were 4-3 winners on spot kicks after sharing six goals with Lakenheath U23s.
Henley Athletic Reserves, who were 4-0 winners at home to Bungay Town Reserves, will again have home advantage, this time versus Whitton United U23s.
