Cockfield knock-out Junior Cup holders
COCKFIELD United defeated Parkers Pitches Suffolk Junior Cup holders Thurston 3-1 in Saturday’s second round.
Woolverstone United, the side Thurston beat 3-1 in last season’s final, won a high-scoring match at home to Clare Town 7-4.
Redgrave Rangers and Cavendish, last season’s McDonald’s Suffolk Primary Cup Finalists, are both through to round three of the Suffolk Junior Cup.
AFC Mildenhall lost 3-1 at the holders Redgrave Rangers, while runners-up Cavendish returned from Ipswich side Achilles with a 3-0 win.

Two ties were settled on penalties – Ipswich Wanderers Development went through 6-5 following a 1-1 draw at Saxmundham Sports and Kesgrave Kestrels edged through 5-4 following a 4-4 draw at Kirton Athletic.
The draw for the third round will be announced later this week.
AFC Sudbury will entertain Felixstowe & Walton United in the second round of this season’s Veo Suffolk U18 Midweek Cup on Thursday, November 21st following their 3-1 win at Woodbridge Town in their delayed first-round tie.
