New agreement for Total Football
SUFFOLK FA and Total Football have agreed a new three-year partnership.
This will see Suffolk FA purchase their team wear, printing and embroidery from Total Football, who will continue to offer discounts on team wear, referees’ kit and footballs to Suffolk FA affiliated clubs and leagues.
Total Football first partnered with Suffolk FA in June 2015 after Karen Cornforth purchased the business, which was then based at The Old Bull Inn in Key Street, near Ipswich Docks.
When Karen bought the business the year before there was just her and Nigel Woollard working in the shop.
Total Football, which moved to new premises on Ransomes Europark during the Covid-19 pandemic, now employees 16 full-time staff.
Karen (who is pictured above, third from right, with members of her staff) said: “We have had to overcome lots of challenges over the last ten years, but we have been able to do this thanks to the continued support of our loyal customers.
“We were grateful to get involved with Suffolk FA within the first year, and our partnership has continued over the last ten years, and we look forward to working together over the next three years.”
Just like every business, the outbreak of Covid-19 presented a massive challenge to Total Football.
Karen continued: “We had agreed to move premises just prior to the first lockdown and opened for business on Ransomes Europark in June 2020.
“It was a gamble to move at that particular time, but it has since definitely proved to be the right decision.
“Since moving here we have increased our embroidery and production and extended the business into other areas, and over the past year have even doubled the size of our warehouse.”
Total Football has developed a successful online Club Shop and its website attracts customers from all over the UK and even beyond.
“I am proud to have overcome the challenges we have with faced, and to be able to get the business to where it is today as we celebrate our tenth anniversary,” said Karen.
To mark the milestone Total Football has been running a series of competitions in partnership with its trusted suppliers to win tickets to Premier League matches, kit, rain jackets and footballs.
“You can follow us on our social media platforms – Facebook, Instagram and X – for a chance to win prizes,” added Karen.
Suffolk FA Marketing & Communications Officer Nick Garnham said: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with Total Football for another three years.
“We have seen how the business has gone from strength-to-strength under Karen since she took over, and look forward to continuing to work with Total Football.”
