Parkers Pitches renew agreement
PARKERS Pitches have extended their partnership with Suffolk FA to cover the 2024-25 season.
The sports turf management business are to sponsor the Suffolk Junior Cup, which starts with two first-round matches on Saturday, for a fourth consecutive season.
Parkers Pitches, who are based in the Bury St Edmunds area, started trading in September 2015.
Will Parker, who initially had some assistance from his father Tim Parker before he retired, now employs four other members of staff.
Parkers Pitches, who cover the whole of East Anglia, have carried out work on more than 50 football pitches across Suffolk.
Will Parker, who is pictured above presenting the Suffolk Junior Cup to last season's winners Thurston, said: “Parkers Pitches are proud to continue our partnership with Suffolk FA for the third year running.
“Our ethos has always been 'Love the game, love the ground' and that is certainly an attitude shared by the Suffolk FA and the clubs we work with.
“Pitch maintenance and improvement is just one part of a much bigger picture for grassroots clubs, but through our continued work with the FA, we are keen to keep educating the next generation, supporting the 'behind the scenes heroes', and celebrating the wins with teams across the county.”
Suffolk FA Chief Executive Richard Neal said: “I’m delighted to renew our partnership with Parkers Pitches. Our collective ambition to improve grass pitches across the county has seen a number of clubs improve their playing surfaces, and I hope our continued partnership will encourage more clubs to follow suit, aided by potential investment through the Football Foundation.”
