Tasty derbies await in Senior Cup draw
SOME tasty local derbies await in the second round of this season’s CNet Training Suffolk Senior Cup.
The draw, which was announced on BBC Radio Suffolk on Friday evening, has thrown up some fascinating ties.
The pick of the bunch is arguably Stowupland Falcons versus Haughley United – the two clubs are separated by less than six miles.
Both had good wins in the opening round – Stowupland Falcons winning 4-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw at Kings Park Rangers and Haughley 5-3 on spot kicks after a goalless draw at AFC Sudbury Reserves.
Beccles Town will entertain Bungay Town, while newcomers Mutford & Wrentham will welcome Waveney and Leiston U23s host Kirkley & Pakefield Reserves.
