STOWUPLAND Falcons are the first side to reach this season’s Best Badges Suffolk Sunday Shield Semi-Finals.

They defeated Gardeners Arms, last season’s Best Badges Suffolk Sunday Trophy winners, 4-1 in their quarter-final tie on Sunday.

The other three quarter-finals of the Suffolk Sunday Shield (pictured above) are taking place this weekend.

The only other county cup match to be held at the weekend was the delayed Best Badges Suffolk Veterans’ Shield Second Round between Ransomes Sports Reserves and Waveney Athletic.

Ransomes Sports Reserves made short work of their visitors with a 12-0 victory and will now be away to Old Newton United in the quarter-finals on Sunday, February 9th.
