Suffolk Police League
The Suffolk Police League will work with partners to identify groups and individuals to provide opportunities to disadvantaged young people to provide opportunities to change their future by engaging with partners from outside of football and show the positive pathways which football can provide.
Building on the success of the inaugural KickOff@3 tournament, we will develop a long-term, sustainable league.
The league programme will provide opportunities to play regular football in a safe environment, whilst allowing positive engagement with Suffolk Constabulary and partner organisations.
The league will be for boys and girls aged between 13 and 16 and based at Whitton Sports Centre in Ipswich.
Included in the league programme, the young people will provide opportunities to gain referee and coaching qualifications as well as leadership qualifications.
The young people will also be able to provide input of their interests for the league to support them with a more tailored approach.
This will provide the opportunity to gain valuable skills and formal qualifications, which will increase chances of earning additional income and raising aspirations.
We will hold a Kick-Off@3 finale event to continue to promote diversity and provide opportunities for the young people to represent Suffolk at a National Finale in London to compete against other constabularies.
