Trio book county cup final places
RAYDON Ravens, Bardwell Sport and Monarchs have become the first sides to book their places in end-of-season county cup finals.
Eight Suffolk FA county cup last-four ties were scheduled to take places over the weekend, but only three went ahead as the wet weather left pitches waterlogged.
Raydon Ravens defeated Laxfield United 2-0 at Ransomes Sports FC in Ipswich to reach the final of the Anglian Radio Kids’ Trust Suffolk Sunday Shield.
Both Suffolk Sunday Trophy semi-finals were played, with Bardwell Sport beating Hardwick 2-1 at Mildenhall Town FC and Monarchs winning by the same scoreline against Pakenham at Henley Athletic FC. Hardwick (red shirts) are pictured above in action in their 5-2 victory over Kings Arms (yellow & black hooped shirts) in the first round last September.
A revised list of this week’s county cup fixtures will be published at lunchtime on Monday.
