New WAYS sponsor a Treatt for league
TREATT PLC is the new headline sponsor for West Suffolk-based thriving local Youth league, the Suffolk WAYS league.
Bury St Edmunds-based Treatt is a leading global independent ingredients manufacturer and supplier to the flavour, fragrance and consumer goods industries, adding particular focus to the innovative beverage market.
The company develops flavour and fragrance ingredients with an inspirational modern twist, collaborating at the crossroads of science and art to make the impossible possible.
The Suffolk WAYS League is a vibrant Youth league based in the west of the county. The league, now in its sixth season, has grown from five to 75 teams in this time, with teams ranging from U7‐U16.
The league places development at the heart of competition by giving its clubs multiple mini seasons of both football and futsal, in addition to three festivals during the season.
The WAYS league delivers a unique football experience by ensuring that Fair Play, Spectator Behaviour and competition are promoted, measured and celebrated during matches for teams.
WAYS will this season deliver a new and bespoke U7 ‘Super Mini‐Soccer’ league to engage with the next generation of footballers. In addition, the league continues to champion their nationally recognised ‘Additional Player’ rule, which allows additional players to enter the field of play when teams are losing by four and six-goal margins.
The WAYS League co-ordinates weekly fixtures for their girls’ division at Skyliner Sports Centre in a safe, fun and positive environment. This has enabled over 40 new females to play within a bespoke programme through the delivery of this ambitious and growing development plan.
The league also delivers a Wildcats programme for girls aged 5‐11 who are new to the game, ensuring they can engage with all areas of the community.
Jodie Allard, League Chairperson, commented: “We are very excited and proud to announce our new partnership with Bury St Edmunds based Treatt.
“Their values of Integrity, Challenge, Teamwork, Pride and Passion are evident across the culture they set within their organisation and values that we share within the Suffolk WAYS League, making it an ideal fit.
“The WAYS league strives to be an innovative and nationally unique league which has received national commendation from the Football Association for its positive learning environment.
“There’s no doubt this new partnership with Treatt will support us to ensure the league can continue to thrive and support local people.”
Daemmon Reeve, Treatt’s Group CEO, commented: “"We are delighted to be sponsoring the Suffolk WAYS league and have no doubt that this relationship has huge potential, not least helping to develop the skills and talent that we know is in our local community.
“We are passionate about what we do at Treatt and are already working with schools locally, providing bespoke packages of information dependent upon age of students, curriculum and the requirements of the school.
“Working with the Suffolk WAYS league will present us with some fantastic and unique opportunities to highlight the opportunities at Treatt, both in schools and in our community.”
