Lakenheath to face Ipswich Town in cup
LAKENHEATH will face Ipswich Town Under-16s in the second round of this season’s Suffolk Boys’ Under-18 Midweek Cup.
Although Ipswich Town Under-16s were drawn out first, Lakenheath will have home advantage in next month’s tie.
Ipswich Town defeated Coplestonians 11-0 in the first round while Lakenheath, who are new to the competition this season and are playing in the Cambridge Division of the Thurlow Nunn Youth League, received a bye.
Holders AFC Sudbury, who defeated Walsham-le-Willows 2-1 in a repeat of last season’s final, will be away to Haverhill Rovers, who beat Bury Town 4-2 on penalties following a 3-3 draw.
Stowmarket Town, 9-0 winners against Ipswich Wanderers, have another home tie as they entertain Framlingham Town.
