Brettvale reach their first final
BRETTVALE are through to their first HomeStore Self Storage Suffolk Women’s Cup Final.
They defeated higher-league East Bergholt United of the Eastern Region League 2-0 in their delayed 2019-20 semi-final tie.
The match at The Millfield, home of Hadleigh United FC, drew a crowd of 165 spectators on Sunday afternoon.
The Suffolk Girls’ & Women’s League side, who scored twice in the first half, will now face Ipswich Town Women in the final on a date and at a venue to be arranged.
The final of the 2019-20 Suffolk Sunday Trophy, on a date and at a venue to be decided, will be an all-Ipswich Sunday Football League affair.
Thrasher United defeated fellow ISFL Division Three side Chantry Phoenix 4-2 at Old Newton United FC, while Hardy, who play in ISFL Division Two, overcame Smiler from Division One of the Bury & District Sunday League 2-1 at Bourne Vale Sports Club in Ipswich.

County cup action heldover from the 2019-20 season continues to come thick and fast with three semi-finals scheduled for Monday evening, two for Tuesday, three on Wednesday and two on Thursday.
