THE Veo Suffolk Sixes are returning once again this summer.

The popular six-a-side tournament for women’s teams will be taking place at a new venue this year – Copleston Sports Centre in Ipswich.

The competition will take place on Wednesday evenings, starting on June 8th and continuing on June 15th, June 22nd, June 29th, July 6th and July 13th.

Matches will be between 7pm and 9pm each Wednesday.

Entry will be £25 per team, which is approximately £3 per person based on a squad of eight.

The tournament returned last summer after being postponed in 2020 due to Covid.

Suffolk FA County Support Officer Ruth Ward, who is organising the tournament along with colleague Mel Stickland, said: “The tournament proved as popular as ever last summer following the break the previous summer due to Covid.

“We are looking for a minimum of ten teams to take part this year, although there is no upper limit on the number of teams wishing to enter.

“Teams can be drawn from club sides or a group of friends wishing to get together to form a squad.”

The closing date for entries for this year’s tournament is Wednesday, May 25th.
