Clubs to try again in Primary Cup ties
TWENTY clubs will try again this weekend to play their McDonald’s Suffolk Primary Cup ties.
The wet weather and flooding in some areas of the county meant ten of last Saturday’s scheduled 20 matches were postponed.
They have all been re-arranged for this Saturday afternoon instead.
Among those involved in first-round action this weekend are AFC Kesgrave Reserves, who are away at Redgrave Rangers.
AFC Kesgrave Reserves (red & blue striped shirts) are pictured above in action versus Henley Athletic Reserves (red shirts) in an SIL match.
There's also one second-round match in the Suffolk Senior Reserve Cup as Ipswich Wanderers Under-23s host Claydon Reserves at Humber Doucy Lane.
The one midweek county cup fixture, scheduled for Tuesday night between Framlingham Town and AFC Sudbury in the Veo Suffolk U18 Midweek Cup, was postponed.
The draw for the second round of this season’s competition will be broadcast on BBC Radio Suffolk at 6.30pm on Friday.
